What is the Festival Of Trees and who is this year's recipient?

Since 1993, Gateway Center’s Board of Directors have given local not-for-profit organizations the opportunity to raise funds for ongoing and new communitybased projects through the Festival Of Trees (FOT) events. The recipient for 2011 is the Anderson Hospital Auxiliary.

The Anderson Hospital Auxiliary was established in 1966, long before the hospital was built. The Auxiliary’s mission is to support, promote and advance Anderson Hospital, which is owned and operated by Southwestern Illinois Health Facilities, Inc., in its program to provide health services and facilities to the area residents. This mission shall be accomplished consistent with the objectives and approval of the Hospital through fundraising, service to patients, and interpretation of the Hospital to the public.

Currently, the Auxiliary has a membership of over 300 men and women who represent over 922,921 hours of service to the hospital, since 1977.

The Auxiliary is pleased to present the proceeds from the 2011 Festival of Trees to Anderson Hospital’s Growing for the Future Campaign, to benefit the recently renovated, updated and expanded 12 bed Intensive Care Unit. The auxiliary is excited to share this spectacular event with the community.
