Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site: Explore this fascinating World Heritage site preserving the central section of the largest prehistoric Indian city north of Mexico. Sixty-five manmade earthen mounds, a wooden sun calendar and interpretive
center sit on 2,200 acres.

Fairmount Park: Try your luck at Illinois’ only downstate horse-racing track, with live thoroughbred races between April and October, and simulcast racing year-round. Dine in the Black Stallion Restaurant, Top of the Turf or the First Turn Cafe.

Splash City Family Waterpark: Where else can you surf or bodyboard in Illinois? Ride the wave of the FlowRider, find family fun for everyone on the multi-level interactive Monsoon Mountain, and enjoy water slides, lazy river, zero-depth pool, sand play area and picnic pavilions. Historic Downtown Collinsville: See the World’s Largest Catsup Bottle. Take a walking tour of local architecture and a cemetery with Revolutionary War and Civil War veterans. Visit the Historical Museum and drive the historic National Road through the city. Plenty of enjoyable attractions await you in our downtown area.

Gateway Fun Park: Take time out to play! Located across from Gateway Center, this entertainment attraction offers two 18-hole miniature golf courses, a quarter-mile go-kart track, arcade and restaurant.

Wild Country: Dance the night away to country sounds early in the evening, or stay when this venue converts to a hot dance club later at night. Up to 1,500 people enjoy the high tech lighting and sound system as well as the huge dance floor.

Schoolhouse Trail: If you ride a bike, walk, run or skate, you are invited to use the new Schoolhouse Trail in Collinsville. Sorry, but horses are not allowed! The trail, which runs in part along the Schoolhouse Creek in Collinsville, adds 23 miles to Madison County Transit's bikeway system.
