COVID-19 Safety Plan

The GatewayWedding Show, Thursday, January 21, 2021, presented by Gateway ConventionCenter is fully prepared to plan and operate a safe event for both exhibitorsand show attendees. This plan will continue to adapt and develop daily as theshow dates approach and the state guidelines alter. Additional materials willbe created to advertise consumer requirements and restrictions. These will bedisplayed throughout all show signage, show website, social media, as well asin Press Releases and other marketing for the show.

-- This show is designed to be a retail shopping venue for brides, grooms and planners to book and sign contract with various wedding industry vendors/services. There will be no event features that will cause congregating of groups larger than the mandate and government guidelines allows on 1/21/2021.
-- There will be a limited number of tickets sold (250) for 2 different time blocks of 2-hours, based on retail capacity restrictions at the date of the show. Capping the total attendance to 500 per show.
-- Time blocks (5:00pm– 7:00pm – 250 tickets) (7:00pm– 9:00pm – 250 tickets)
-- Re-entry to the show will be prohibited.
-- Ticket Sales – Most tickets will be sold online prior to the show with the 2 stated time blocks. If not sold out on the date of the show, we will allow day of sales paying by credit card only.
-- Attendees and vendors will be required to wear a mask while inside of the building and when 6-feet social distancing cannot be maintained.
-- Attendees and vendors will be required to have their temperature taken upon entry to the building. The temperature must be lower than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit to gain access to the show.
-- Attendees and vendors will be required to sign a COVID-19 Liability Waiver. (Vendors will agree to this when signing their vendor application to participate in the show – Attendees will agree to this when purchasing tickets online or physically sign when purchasing available tickets day of the show).
-- Vendor move in will take place the day prior to the show to allow for extra cleaning and less traffic flow the morning of the show. Vendors will signup for move in time slots.

Physical Distancing and Contact –
In addition to the limited total number of attendees and vendors on property, physical distance will be monitored. If lines form for restrooms, concessions or to access a vendor booth– 6ft space markers will be placed visibly on the floor. Signs will be placed around the show discouraging handshakes and contact with other attendees/vendors. The show will have a recommended one-way traffic flow.

Personal Protection –
All attendees, vendors and venue staff will be required to wear facial coverings at all times while inside of Gateway Convention Center. If a vendor or attendee does not have a facial covering one will be provided by the venue.

Cleaning and Disinfecting –
Gateway Convention Center will undertake deep cleaning before, during and after the Gateway Wedding Show to ensure the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness. Our event staff will clean high-touch points throughout the show, provide hand sanitizing stations spread within the event floor and encourage regular hand washing.

Capacity –
Gateway Convention Center will be following the retail guidelines for the Gateway Wedding Show. Based on 50,000 square feet of building space –250 attendees per 2-hour time slot. (see DCEO guidance) – as of 9/30/2020
